The treasurer of the Cosmopolitan Club sends Martha Berry a letter acknowledging the check she sent to pay dues to the club. The letter is sent from 133 East 40th Street.

Martha Berry remarks on her surprise at receiving a letter from Piedmont. She says that she cannot sent Martha to visit Mary because she is so responsible for keeping the children safe while they are under her care at the schools. She also discourages Mary from writing Martha so often because she is worried that Martha will become dissatisfied and want to leave the Berry Schools. She invites Mary to come back to Commencement.

Emily Hammond sends Martha Berry a letter about a $2,500 donation made by her uncle, Henry T. Sloane. Mrs. Hammond also discusses a $10 check written by Mrs. Sturgis and a check from Mrs. Cosgrove that will be sent to Martha Berry. Lastly, Mrs. Hammond tells Martha Berry that 20 people are interested in the Pilgrimage on April 15th and that she will do her best to accompany them.

Mr. Hoehler tells Martha Berry that Mr. Charles P. Taft has agreed to speak at the Berry Schools next year. Mr. Hoehler suggests to Martha Berry that it would be a good idea to invite Mrs. Taft, as well, because he thinks she could make significant donations to the Berry Schools. Additionally, Mr. Hoehler tells Martha Berry about a new highway from Cincinnati to Chattanooga which will make it easier for Martha Berry to "cultivate" benefactors in Cincinnati. Lastly, Mr. Hoehler asks Martha Berry to ask DeWitt Littleton to write him a proposal for laundry equipment needed which Mr. Hoehler will take up with his friend Taylor Stanley as a potential donor.

A $5 donation from the Red Cedar Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) to the Berry Schools.

Conaway writes to make arrangements for a concert at Berry by soprano Mary Rodes. Rodes is performing at the Georgia State Fair and her friend Emily Vanderbilt Hammond has suggested the concert at Berry.
