Mrs. St. John writes to Mrs. Learned to decline her "most alluring invitation" because Mr. St. John has to be in New York to help one of the boys get married. She says that she would love to hear Miss Berry and meet her since she so enjoyed the booklet Mrs. Learned sent her. She asks if Mrs. Learned knows if Miss Berry has a fixed charge for speaking because she'd like Miss Berry to come and speak to the boys at The Choate School.

Berry provides the photograph she requested for the Winthrop College yearbook.

James Ricks writes to Martha about the institution that he runs similar to The Berry Schools asking for advice and to try and see if she might visit The Boys Home to see the work that they do there.

Martha Berry writes to Mrs. Hammond thanking her for her letter and says that it is so kind of her to try to raise $100,000 of the million dollars. Martha Berry says that she thinks it would be better to start with half a million because she has a friend that promised to give $100,000 if they raise $400,000. She says that she thinks she should try visiting her friends in Boston and that she's greatly enjoyed reading the booklet from the Pilgrim Fifth Annual Trip to Berry.
