Harris has written a letter to be sent to the judges on the committee to award the service prize, with the exception of one who knows Berry's work well.


Harris thanks Berry for the Christmas jelly and sends New Year's good wishes.


Goldman explains that he turned over the photographs Berry gave him to the Shrine Magazine and provides instructions for sending them a photograph of her father. Goldman has been out of touch and does not know if his agents have yet arranged for the publication of "The Sunday Lady."

Mrs. McRoberts thanks Mrs. Hammond for the invitation to hear Martha Berry speak, but she cannot make it. Mrs. McRoberts has heard many good things about Berry's work and wishes she could meet Berry, so she encloses a check in her absence.
