Miss Martha wishes to have Miss Cora Neal come visit her at Tate Springs, and she also asks for Miss Neal to send her more Pictorial Review blanks. Berry writes to Ladd of the death of their friend Estelle Whitfield and encloses a clipping about the wedding of her niece Marian Berry to Prince Sigismondo Chigi. She reports that her sister, Princess Ruspoli (Eugenia/Jennie Berry) suggested that a $10,000 wedding gift would be appropriate.
In this letter, Miss Berry tells Mrs. Hammond that she wishes she could make a trip to see her in Mt. Kisco, but she is unable to make it due to her need to stay at the schools and a bad sunburn she received on her last trip. She does, however, tell her about her niece, Marian, who has just married Prince Sigismondo Chigi of Rome, Italy.
Berry encloses a small check for Catherine to use in camp, in appreciation for all Armes has done for Berry. She reports that Marian Berry is to be married to Prince Sigismondo Chigi and that while she was not invited to the wedding it was suggested that she send a $10,000 gift. She invites Armes to visit, as there is splendid material for an article for Personality and asks that she send a copy of her contribution to the Pictorial Review.
